Tim Peake will be blasting into Guildford for a book signing in December.

It may not be the moon, but the Sandhurst graduate will touch down at the town's WH Smith store on Saturday December 9 between 1pm and 2.30pm.

He will be signing copies of his new book "Ask an Astronaut".

Major Peake captured the public's imagination while he was stationed on the International Space Station (ISS) between December 2015 and June 2016.

During his time in space, he captured some amazing pictures of the earth from above, ran the London Marathon and even battled space invaders.

Following his return to Earth, he also made an appearance in the area for Farnborough Air Show last year, where he told school children all about his adventures in space.

Posting on his Facebook page about his latest book signing, Major Peake said: "I’m delighted to announce I’ll be doing the following #AskAnAstronaut book signings this December.

"Tickets are on sale now from the links below. Looking forward to meeting you!"

Tickets include a copy of the book and cost £22.10 from Ticketmaster.
